Ferry line from hell

We didn't make it far today. We drove east along the coast of the Crimea to the town of Kerch where the black sea and the sea of azov meet. We need to take a ferry across this tiny little strait (less than a mile across) and have been in line for 7.5 hours now. We still aren't even to the point to purchase a ticket. We haven't actually seen the ferry yet but it must be tiny as they only let a few cars through at a time. Kelsey took the Russian phasebook up to someone and the best we are able to find out is it may be a couple hours more. It has been blazing hot all day so we are sticky, smelly, hungry! What an experience in patience!

I am not a fan of dodgy boats so hopefully the crossing will go quick!

We got to talk to the kids tonight which was the highlight of my day. We miss them both so very very much. They are headed off to disneyland with Judy on Monday so they will be having an adventure of their own! Have fun kiddos!!

Hope all is well and thank you for all the well wishes being sent our way!
Love - Chala

What stories you will have to tell us all. Good luck on the ferry thing. Kinda sounds like that movie with John Candy in it-the one him and Steve Martin were in, trying to get home for the holidays, was that Trains Planes and Automobiles? At any rate good luck. luv ya, dad

Glad to hear you're both doing good, what an experience of a lifetime you are on! Hope the ferry ride happened quickly and you're back on track. Thinking of you every day!
